A footnote in show business, really. His biggest claim to fame was appearing as a member of the Saturday Night Live cast in the infamous 1980-81 season. The show was villified by the fans and critics that year. (It followed the immensely popular original cast.) Rocket famously uttered the "Queen Mother of dirty words" live on the show one night. Shortly after, there was a huge shake up, with even the producer (Jean Doumanian) and most of the cast (including Rocket) getting the boot. It must have been difficult to have been that close to huge success, and never experienced it. (Here is an on line tribute piece that includes background of which I was unaware: http://www.providencephoenix.c om/features/p_and_j/documents/05030762.asp )
