Having said that, placing it on Tom Sawyer Island is a bad idea for several reasons: 1. How are you going to move that many people back and forth across the river? We are talking E-Ticket attraction, right? There is no way the rafts to the island could meet the demand. 2. The shape of island is not very conducive to building a dark ride or a mountain-type ride. Looking at a map and comparing it to other E-ticket rides, very little would fit. 3. The Rivers of America would probably have to be shut down for a long time during construction. That means losing the canoes, rafts, Mark Twain Steamboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Fantasmic and the island itself. Those six attractions combined soak up a lot of crowds during the busy seasons. 4. The historical aspect. TSI is a Walt Disney original. Who wants to mess with that too much? 5. The parent factor. As a parent, there are few places of refuge from the crowds where the kids can just play and get their energy out. TSI is one of them. Lost attraction? YES! Lost on TSI? NO!!!

And that should dead end it. And while TSFKaDI would be perfect for some very uber kewl Lost attraction, that will never happen either. Finally, I'd love to see something done with Lost in the parks. USA Today named it the best TV show of the last decade and I agree. But Disney doesn't want to use it in the parks and it's squandered the years when it would have made the most sense. I happen to know a few folks who are VERY involved in Lost, both behind the camera and in front. I have talked to them at length about a Lost attraction for the parks and the responses have been the same ''it would be very cool ... and I'm surprised that no one from Disney has ever talked to me/us''. I don't see anything ever happening, sadly. But if it did, it would never, ever, ever be on TSI. BTW, for those that think 'Lost' dies when the series wraps up with these characters and THIS story should check out a great story in yesterday's Hollywood Reporter with Carlton and Damon. Bottom line is while they are out of the Lost business and the show will definitely have an end that leaves no big openings for future films or the like etc ... they also believe Disney isn't going to let the franchise die completely forever and they point to Tron Legacy as an example of what can happen over time. I wish it were 2/2 already!
