Is this Disney's counter punch that is supposed to put a hurting on snotter Potter? Pixar Place with Toy Story Mania and Lightening's Spin-Out coaster?

ORWEN: Not me! I'd much rather ride a rat themed attraction than a car themed ride.

Cars Part Deux is already in the works. Carsland@DCA and WDS as synergistic tie-ins. Now DHS. Makes cents to me.

Maybe they should run the plans up to Universal to ask one.

As nice as Primevil Whirl came out, who wouldn't want more of that. It really is what raises Disney above the likes of....ah.... the state fair?

Pretty lofty goals Disney has set for itself.

I'd say it's already proven itself a better property than Cars--not that we have anything against Cars because we liked that movie, too. If Mr. Iger believes Cars is more popular than Ratatouille, it would have been more clear if he would have merely said that instead of saying whatever it was he DID say.

I'm not sure about the box office numbers, but I can say that CARS has been a HUGE success merchandise-wise. The CARS diecast toy car line alone has been a runaway hit for Mattel, to the degree that characters seen in the film for a few seconds are manufactured and sell out as soon as they hit store shelves.

If a true, immersive spinning coaster were built at DHS, I wouldn't have a problem. But, Primeval Whirl, as whimsical as it is, has no place in Animal Kingdom. A very similar ride can be found at nearby Cyprus Gardens (actually, an IDENTICAL ride minus the theming). It works for CG, but not for the highly immersive environments at Animal Kingdom.

The theming is good, with some crazy light effects to match the spinning. And it's the EXACT same ride as Primeval Whirl - same layout, same type of cars, same manufacturer! The only difference is that it's in a dark building with decent theming and effects. Ok, it's not necessarily Disney quality when compared to Space Mountain or Everest, but, it blows Primeval Whirl off the map. It's THAT much better! In fact, Exterminator has the longest line in the park next to their signature steel coaster, Phantom's Revenge. Don't expect Disney or Universal style theming or effects, but, trust me, Exterminator is great!

Kennywood's also getting what promises to be an AWESOME interactive dark ride opening next week called Ghostwood Estate. I've seen pictures of what they're installing, and let me say that it will probably blow Buzz Lightyear away in terms of theming as interactive dark rides go! Think Disney's Haunted Mansion (on a much smaller budget) meets Universal's Halloween Horror Nights meets Men in Black's interactive capabilities. It really looks awesome!!! I'll give my review when I get to ride it next week!
