Maybe it's because it doesn't blow in the breeze. I'm sure it makes sense from a maintenance standpoint to not use live grass in an area that would be hard to get to on a regular basis.

And I think the stage setup in Town Square was for AFV. I saw a blurb that said they would be filming there this week

When I was there last June we were hit with the edges of Tropical Storm Debby. Trust me, there was plenty of breeze :)

I understand, but don't you think that the elaborate exterior of this new Snow White attraction along with its interior scenes more than makes up for the loss?

    No.

I am not crying over the loss, but I still think it was very short sighted to eliminate a popular dark ride in a park that needs all the capacity it can get. I am sure the new coaster will be charming-- it is looking wonderful. I think the two attractions would have complemented each other beautifully. No one thinks it odd that Disneyland has two Alice in Wonderland attractions side by side. Or two Dumbo attractions side by side.

Two Snow White attractions would have been a real asset to the Magic Kingdom. And there are other places where they could have created a new place to meet the princesses.
