Originally Posted By TINK-MOBILE Hi GoofyDH ...no it sure doesn't look like the Sharks will be playing our Canucks... It is hard to put your finger on the reason why everything seemed to fall apart on them..they had a solid machine working on all clyinders , a flukey break by chicago , followed by a poor defensive decision by a rookie let the Hawks in, a seemingly air tight door . Once that tying goal came into play in game two , the structure of the officiating changed , they seemed to jump into a new change of life , the hawks could sense it and they made no mistake in drawing the canucks into their nest. Vancouver had game 2 all sewn up , but let it get away... Game three the officiating killed Vancouver , Luongo killed Vancouver, poor execution killed Vancouver , take just one of those away and the Canucks would have prevailed. Clearly Cicago is a team that needs alot of assistance to win games, they rarely have played a game this year with out assistance , take it away , they are more inclined to not produce victories... Game four Luongo once again raised the incline for his team to prevail, then again he raised the incline higher, with the assistance of very questionable decisions by the officials...if you are going to call those things as light as they are , then you had better do it all game long. Even though we had chances thru the officiating, what this favoured team was allowed to get away with for 60 minutes they chould have been a man short or two at more times ,for the same. Chicago has all the momentum to win and thrash Vancouver tonite , if our team has the will they can take it to game 6 , if they don't then they won;t.. Our top line are really playing soft, Nemin is very poor up high, reacts to the quick shot, over reacts to the softer shot, he is weak inside his blocker shoulder because he goes down way to early, on wrap arounds , you always aim for the centre of the net not the post...that is where the hole is...first.. I think that the Sharks have to take the sting out of Chicago;s tough guy early, they are a Big Team, I would use Joe in the same way they use there big guy, joe has more skill and i think can punish more,,,,they must watch the videos and learn how chicago gained constant possession of vancouver in their end ,,Vancouver would blindly throw thwe puck up the boards when they had time, result loss of possesion, a goal, skate it out if you have time , be smart with the puck, no skate stops moving, shoot early on Nemin...tuck and shoot in opposite drections, do not be predictable.....we do not like chicago because of the way they have been given unfair advantages, goals that are not goals, penalty opportunities that are questionable, just the whole ball of wax ,, The Sharks must never stop skating, Never..you never win a game with 10 minutes to go, you win a game when your ahead and there is no time on the clock... Things are going ok, i am recovering rom a car accident, was a passenger, we were rear ended, recovery is slow but getting there, hope too be able to go back to work before too long, therapist thought another 12 treatments so maybe in 7 weeks or so...i will be good to go, hopefully earlier... I will be at the meet in July...our daughter is expecting our first gran child in early August , if the baby comes early cindy wants to be home , just in case...i am confident it will be in august ha ha ha We are going to try and come in December, it may just be me again, but we will see....if it is next year Cindy will come for sure.... Really enjoyed your Company last Christmas , it was a real pleasure, you have an Adorable wife and I hope to see you both at the park this year some time... Take care and have a Great time at Magic Kingdom.... Deep Down..I think Chicago is a better team ....they stuck to their game plan, they did not allow us to do the same, how ever San Jose is a much better team than Chicago they just have to play their game and not Chicago;s.. Say Hi to Amazedncal2 for me and most importantly wish her a VERY SPECIAL HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, hope you spoiled her with some SEE'S CHOCOLATES...and more ox

REally- and just how many Blackhawk games have you watched this year ? The Canucks are a pucky -after the whistle type team...series will be over tomorrow. be careful what you wish for in getting the Hawks- and anyone who thinks the refs somehow favor the Hawks- absolutely has not seen enough games this year-
Originally Posted By TINK-MOBILE We get the Chicago Channel so we have watched pretty well all the games, we also have season tickets to the Canuck's as well my friend. Canucks are a cycle team, very talented, very skilled , as the Blackhawk team is. Chicago is a opportunist team, give them an edge and they will make you pay.. The referee's in this series clearly were the first contributor to their apparent success in two of their victories and almost in one of their defeats they gave them a door. Without question early last evening, the Canuck player was cross checked to the ice , on the ensuing rush the hawk player fell on his own accord but gained the advantage , numerous infractions followed no calls went to Vancouver. Even though it was the best officiated game of the series the hawks were kept in it by non calls against them in key situations. Sedin slashed no call while already on a power play, no matter what happened afterward , the fact of the matter is, Chicago received an enormous break on an easy call to make... Last year was no different , Vancouver may not win tomorrow...quite frankly despite all the poor decisions made against them in the series...the real reason the series is not over for the hawks is Vancouver did not score on their opportune opportunities...I do not wish for any team to advance on the backs of the referee ...Chicago I believe may now have run the gauntlet of breaks from the officials , as have the canucks because they too have received breaks but no where in comparison as to their opposition. The top officiated game so far has been between Philly and Boston...I think the new standard will be in play tonite and for the rest of all series... Chicago on paper is a much more skilled team than the Canucks , how ever my friend , you can throw that out with the bath water. Who ever sticks to their game plan , keeps the feet moving, will prevail...regardless who wins San Jose hopes they both hammer each other... One thing I know my friend as an Official myself and with out boasting a highly regarded Official I do know my stuff... It is not that the referees favor the Hawks so much , it is that the referee;s do not favor the Canuck's much at all..had both teams received the same with in the laws of the game... Chicago would of been playing GoLF yesterday ....it is now a one game in a row series, one game at a time...if canucks win, which may not happen, there will be a game seven, who has the advantage there, you tell me .... You can not know who will win tomorrow nor can I , it is all speculation with a touch of wishful thinking, only the players can decide, canucks decided on a game plan last nite , stuck too it, overcame some adversities and prevailed in the end. Chicago may do the same tuesday or they may not , it is up to them , we have no say.... Enjoy the game, if we win great, if we don;t life goes on, then we go to Disneyland....

I am not an official ( nor do I play one on TV) - but I played 4 years in college nCAA D1..so my knowledge of the game is not just as a fan either. But the refs must have heard you in game 5- as only one team was nailed on penalties -- finally let both teams play tonite As for San Jose-- Hawks beat them 3-1 during regular season - outscoring them 17-11 in the process.... so glad not to see the Red Wings there... should be a good series
Originally Posted By TINK-MOBILE I like the Hawks better a man short, they are a super opportunistic team. "hope i spelt that right" The officiating has been far better , just let them play, as you saw tonite Vancouver and the Hawks played a great first period . Canucks just turned the puck over against the wrong line....wasn;t really five on five , but sure were great goals... Third period , more puck give aways to very talented players....the hawks played like we did in Chicago and played well.. I have always liked Chicago, Johnathan Toews is in my mind the player of the series, give us Toews and the big guy, series would have been reversed, they are super players... Good luck against the Sharks, they are big, they are reaching a peak, which is very dangerous, the hawks must continue the same pace, you just don't know what team will show up, hope the refs are quiet, let the skill play , there is tons of it in this series... tired of the wings and the pens ... bruins and habs would be good, but philly has the small edge right now

Hey GoofyDH you guys are in for a treat of a series, the hawks are a very fast skating team . They have such mobility on defence , such quickness up front . The sharks top lines are going to have to out work and out play theirs, lots of hitting going on here. Nemin is not as strong , he goes down really early...get up on a reg basis.. will sure help... Sharks must win their home games..Chicago like the canucks do not play well at home against the road game... I really don't get too worked up , that is just me analyizing again...ha ha ha I think after beating Detroit the Sharks will win the series...4-3.but they must win at home....................... the season record has bragging rights only, with a cost...mums the word, There will be a game 5, have fun....
