The ATM machines here have accepted cash (no envelope) for as long as I've been around which surprised me at first (I guess you Yankees have finally caught up! ). Checks sound like a neat trick though, that's pretty cool (they don't use checks in Japan).

Back to the topic - this just seems like more of the technological divide. Yes, a person to help expedite sales would be nice, but you don't full staffing. That's not in the company's best interest. As it is, with how simplistic tickets are at DLR they are really over-staffed at the ticket booths when they should have more emphasis on computerized transactions since it's such simple options that do not need explanation or human intervention. It's just slowing things down and taking up space. Universal Orlando has a good system going with a combination of booths with sellers and kiosks integrated into their booths - WDW's separate stand alone kiosks don't get enough foot traffic, so the Univeral Orlando model seems to be the best one to follow. If anything, DLR needs to be less technophobic overall, and for gosh sake, give you balloon sellers credit card reading PDA's. Sheesh.
