One of the things that Erica told me she wanted to do was Character Breakfasts since she enjoyed them so much during her trip to Disneyland. This was also a day that Iris and Jason would be with us for the day. The rain of our first day had cleared out – yesterday was an almost perfect weather day – and today was nicer than any of the days of my trip here with my wife a few weeks ago. We checked in at the Crystal Palace and after a very short wait, we were called in. Tigger was almost at our table at that point, but it soon became clear that Tigger was bouncier than usual – yes, he was doing the pee-pee dance and needed to get offstage quickly. He did soon return and showed up at our table, but before he did we were visited by Pooh and Piglet. Last to arrive at the party was Eeyore. By this time breakfast was fast disappearing and lunch was showing up on the buffet. And no, we didn’t make it a two meal visit. We head for Adventureland and our first stop would be at the Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management. First, however, we would stop by The Jungle Cruise and pick up a few fastpasses which would be active by the time we exited the Tiki Room. The Jungle Cruise, classic that it is, always is fun … even when you know all the corny jokes you know the skipper will recite. This time, however, it wasn’t the jokes themselves that made it fun, but the completely deadpan delivery of our skipper. (We would later be aboard his cruise again later in the trip – but we will get to that in a few days.) Next on our journey is (all together now … ) Pirates of the Caribbean. The last time we were here a few weeks ago, my wife was using an electric scooter due to a foot problem. Unaware that we needed to leave the scooter at the entrance and either transfer to a wheelchair or walk, we entered the queue with the scooter. In fact, the CM at the entrance even opened the chain and directed us into the queue. When we got to the load area, the CM was confused that we were there with the scooter, and wasn’t sure what to do with it. She told us that she would call a manager to get to to unload for us. When we exited the ride, it wasn’t there, and the CM at that station had no idea where the scooter was. After a few calls, another CM showed up with a wheelchair for my wife and escorted us to the entrance to the attraction where my wife’s scooter was indeed waiting for her. This trip, however, was uneventful. We continue around into Frontierland, where after a short break, Erica and I continue to the Country Bear Jamboree. Iris and Jason take this opportunity to see if they might get onto Splash Mountain, which had just continued running after a rather longish e-stop. As it turns out there are some technical difficulties with CBJ as well, though it turns out to be a rather short one, and Erica and I sit down to watch the show before long. When we exit CBJ we intend to sit down and wait for Iris and Jason, but they appear right away, as they could not get a quick ride on Splash Mountain. So we continue around to Fantasyland. As it was on Day 2, It’s a Small World had a long queue and we passed it by once again. Since Toontown Fair will most likely no longer be here when I am here next, we decide to head there, with picture taking in mind – and perhaps a meet and greet. The lines in both Mickey’s and Minnie’s house were quite long, and after the stomach virus of yesterday, Erica was beginning to fade a bit, so pictures were taken, but we did not go through the houses, nor get to meet Minnie or Mickey. We decide to take the train around the park at this point, but not only was Erica fading fast, but Jason’s back was giving him problems, so we decided that we would exit the train at Main Street, and call it a day … it now being mid-afternoon, and had done enough so that it wasn’t a lost day for anyone. So we headed back to All Star, and Iris and Jason headed home.
