Never ran into a Gay Days crowd but it can't be much worse then a Cheerleading Convention or a Holiday crowd! We always go that time of year and the decorations are up (Mansion will have the holiday overlay) and it was never too crowded for us. Weather can be unpredictable though. Mostly likely it will be warm but you never know.
