You basically catch the bus at LAX, then it goes non-stop to the Disneyland Hotel. They process payments and vouchers there, and then the bus will start delivering to other hotels. Depending on the volume, you might be switched to another bus to get you to your hotel quicker at the DLH.

As far as I know, Gray Line is the only full sized Bus service that services the Orange County area from LAX.

Is there a shuttle from LAX to GC for Disney guests? Is it complimentary or involve a fee? How about a way to get to Universal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We have also caught the other buses – Airport bus & Disneyland Express and they are terrible. You have to wait for their arrival at LAX, then it takes an exhausing 2 hours to get to Anaheim. They go via every hotel, dropping off everyone, which takes even more time. The Disneyland Express dropped us 3 hotels away from ours, and we had to walk and STRUGGLE with all our luggage.

This made us so frustrated, that we didn't bother with our return trip (paid for), we just rang the super shuttle.

It also has a restroom and is just more comfortable than Super Shuttle.

We have also used Super Shuttle in the past and it too is efficient (both take about the same amount of time), the difference is that the Disneyland Express goes directly to the resort hotels, you can have other stops using Super Shuttle.

Here is the info I have for both:
    SUPER SHUTTLE
    $15.00
Orbitz offers shuttle vouchers at time of airline reservations that yu can print immediately …$16.00 one way
A reservation is not necessary for leaving the airport, but if you have them you avoid the time and hassle of paying on-board the van with cash or credit card.
You can make a reservation online at <a href="http://www.supershuttle.com/default.aspx" target="_blank">http://www.supershuttle.com/default.aspx</a>
Claim your luggage, proceed outside and look for the orange “Shared Ride Van†sign located on the outer island. Contact our Guest Service Representative dressed in a blue SuperShuttle uniform and they will assist uyou. Time wait for a van can range from a few minutes to 30 minutes. Usually about 15 minutes. Ride to resort is about 45 minutes, depending on drop-offs along the way. You can experience longer rides if drop-offs are in residential areas along with resort and good neighbor hotels.
    You can call 800-258-3826
You must call 24 hours in advance for your return trip to the airport
Van will arrive within 15 minutes of requested time (I have always experienced them arriving 15 minutes..at least…early!)

DISNEYLAND EXPRESS (operated by Southern California Gray Line)
Departures from LAX begin at 6:00 a.m., and continue every hour until 12:00 a.m.
    Departures every 30 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Pickups start on the hour, beginning at Terminal 1. Allow approx. 5 minutes between each terminal
Reservations are not required, but can be made at 714-978-8855
Return service begins daily at 5:00 a.m., with the last departure from Anaheim to LAX at 9:00 p.m.
    Adult - $19.00 one-way/$28 round- trip
    Child - $16.00 one-way/$20 round-trip
Guests say seating nicer than the shuttle vans, and no chance of having drop offs at private redidences
Travel time to resort, approx. 45 minutes

We did not find this to be the case at all. We not only found Super Shuttle (and the Big Red Van Company) more comfortable but safer too-they have seatbelts whereas Disneyland Express does not.

And as far as the Express having a restroom on board-that can be a VERY STINKY addition to the trip!

I think it is fair to say that both of these can be fast and they can take a long time depending on the other passengers with you.
Once I took Super Shuttle from LAX to Anaheim. We were a group of 6 people. 2 people were already aboard and we picked up one more at the airport.
We proceeded to go to two different residential areas before we finally got to our hotel about two hours later.
Another time, we were a group of five and the other 3 people in our shuttle were going to a hotel in Anaheim so we were there in about an hour.
Both these trips were in the late evening.
Once we took the Disneyland Express and there was only 3 other people on it so we made one stop at the Disneyland Hotel and then one stop at another hotel and we were at our hotel in about an hour.
Another time, the bus was fairly full and we had to make multiple stops at multiple hotels and it took over an hour and a half.
I think if you can guarantee the a shuttle is going straight to the Disneyland Resort area and not to outlying residential areas, it will be faster than the Disneyland Express.
Otherwise, I would rather drive around the Disneyland Resort area checking out the other hotels than through residential areas.
My family personally feels safer in a large bus than a van but it is just our preference!

Arriving early a.m. every time, we've never shared with residential passengers - it's always been a direct shot to the DLR corridor. Sometimes we're dropped off first, sometimes last, sometimes in-between, but it's never a hassle and never seems like a horrible timeframe. :)

    A couple price adjustments:

The Disneyland Express is now $30 for adults and $22 for kids, round-trip.

If you are taking Super Shuttle and paying with an American Express card, you can get a $3 discount each way by using the code 72MMA when making reservations online or by phone. (This discount is good at all locations served by Super Shuttle, not just SNA or LAX.)

And I much prefer the seating on the Airport Bus (Individual seats, 2 per row) instead of being crammed into a bench seat on a Shuttle Van.

I am more concerned about the time issue. We may not be able to use the Express if we have an early morning flight out of LAX.

Can't really make any firm plans just yet, though. Still waiting on flight details...
