I do also agree that Disney needs to find something else to get that Harry Potter attendance. They should try to get something with National Treasure. I know that among my friends it's popular and with the success of the still in pre production third one, it could work for them. Plus, if Del Toro's Haunted Mansion is popular, attendance would rise again. Again, this is all bold optimism.

    Once again, thanks for the podcast, I really enjoyed the discussions.

I would guess that guests living in Japan are tiny percentage of current DVC owners, but for Aulani, they are one of the primary target markets. In fact, they've converted the old Planet Hollywood location at Tokyo Disney Resort into a two-story Aulani preview center, complete with room mock-ups. At one point last year, reportedly there was a 30-day waiting list just to get the complete sales presentation including the room mock-up visits.

    Considering how popular Hawaii is with Japanese tourists, and how popular Disney is in Japan, I suspect that a good percentage of Aulani sales will come from the Japanese market. Think of the sales pitch: vacation ownership in Hawaii, plus the ability to use points for resort stays at Anaheim or Orlando, as well as cruise options.
