Anyways both Indi Temples have thier attributes but TDS's ride is much better and elaborate looking than DL's.

I feared my expectations on the TDS sequel might be higher than the Mayan temple that houses it, but I certainly loved it as well. There were a couple aspects I liked better (the skeletons) and a couple elements I missed (like the interactivity of the line). But then, the big temple room was awesome. Of course, hearing Indy in Japanese gave me a chuckle.

The main difference is the outside. The Mayan temple is wonderfully majestic, especially at night when its peak just hovers there in a purple glow. I had a favourite bench where I could lean back and gaze up through the trees. I absolutely loved all the jungle noises. They actually had me turning my neck! This is best accompanied my a cream cheese brownie (yumm).

Another terrific view is from the steamer as it chugs down the water to the Lost River Delta and passes the pontoon plane. This is how I first saw it, and I seriously considered going overboard and swimming for shore. (that would have shocked them).

However, it's best to wait and cross the suspension (sort of) bridge. Right now it's 9:11 am Tokyo time, and the day's first riders are screeching around the corner past the tornado and into the skeleton room, soon to risk their lives crossing the rickety bridge before their encounter with the giant boulder.

I have to go. I think I'm going to cry.

Take heart everyone, Cynthia Harriss and Paul Pressler both spent a nice long week at Tokyo for the Grand Opening. Cynthia even wrote a letter to CM's about it telling us how impressed she was with their Parks. So at least the American execs know what WDI and "Disney" is really capable of. I would think they would be a bit embarassed of the things they have offered us the last 4 years, and the things they have planned for the next two or three, in comparison to what the Japanese are doing.

Now that I think about it, the way TDA and Burbank execs have been running our Parks seems to be Un-American. Shame on them for letting the Japanese beat us at our own game. :-(

The temple at TDS seems to be a giant "Here's An E-Ticket" weenie. I prefer the subtlety "what lurks in the shadows" quality of DL's exterior. However I'm sure the ride is considerably more technologically advanced and that's a good thing. Also, at DL, I felt (only for a couple moments) that there were some dead spots to the ride where I wasn't certain as to what I was supposed to feeling thinking... Is the TDS version more consistent in its vision for the rider? Anyway, big thanks to Marc once again...

Wether you cross over one of the many bridges..or sail past it..this place is Cool!! Utilize the space by decorating the show-building with carvings and ruins..digs in-progress..and assorted flora+fauna.
It's not "weged" in like DL and when you would go the the parkinglot..or ride the monorail..(pre-DCA days).the back of the building would stick out..as a Huge green
    square !
The outside of the show-building,is just as important as the front !!
(and at night.DisneySea is another park) This place is.."Detail City" !!
GREAT job indeed !!! and when you go inside....WOW !!! Next visit..I'm running for a FastPass for this ride first.. instead of JTCOTH !
