Saturday night we decided to go ahead and go as planned and just do some things that we haven't or don't typically do. Just a relaxing trip with no expectations. We arrived at Disneyland via Monorail (after chatting with a nice CM named Don)at about noon today. We noticed that the Nemo line not only wasn't wrapping around much it really looked pretty sparse. DH went to talk to a CM, nicely saying that we had entered the drawing, didn't receive an email and was there any chance of still going on? The CM was very pleasant and said to check back later and if the line was short they may let AP's enter. DH went to get fastpasses to Space and I did a little shopping. THEN DH wanted to go BACK to Nemo right away and ask again! Sheesh! I said he'd soon have a warning out about him to all the NEMO CM's to keep this guy away So he goes over there as I keep walking and pretend I don't know him. I glance back and he is waving me over!!!! A CM waved us in and another checked to make sure we had AP's and we were on our Sub in less than 10 minutes!!! We noticed that most people in the sub had small children with them. I think we were the only people in our age group. Two very big kids! It was a VERY magical moment. We gave tons of thanks to the CM and sent a compliment to Guest Communications, not naming what she did incase it was a no, no. But commenting on the magic she created for us DH also received a surprise later at Greetings from CA. A young girl needed a bit more change to buy her candy, as she was fumbling for more money, DH handed the CM a dollar. He was rewarded by the CM with the Dreams pins Now he is on the lookout for a child who looks like they would like to have the pin. Fun stuff! We also had a "whoa" moment while deciding where to eat lunch. We had sort of decided on La Brea and were walking down MainStreet and noticed there were empty tables at Carnation Cafe. No wait at the cafe??? We had a perfect lunch and enjoyed a visit with Oscar It's been a very magical day indeed! Tomorrow is DH's birthday, another unplanned day of fun

I was happy to be on a sub full of kids who were soooo excited to see Nemo Thanks for the wishes Dave! I'll pass them on to my Dave Thanks for reading everyone.

I gave the other half of the pin to Ursula, and piratebrittany gave her other half of her pin to ilvdland. Aren't those pins the coolest??? Be glad that your DH is persistant. Otherwise, you wouldn't have had that ride experience. Good for him. A big happy birthday to him, too, by the way! Can I ask how the seating in the subs are? The same as before? I am not very skinny so I am worried...haha!!

DH has a knee that goes out on him occasionally, he is 6'2" and weighs 200ish lbs and he did just fine getting in, sitting in the confines of the seats and getting out. As you may remember, most people lean forward looking into their porthole which leads to more wiggle room. There were lot's of kids in our row which I'm sure helped You could walk by the loading area and watch other people getting in and see how they do. I'm sure you'd be fine

I noticed one CM telling people the ride didn't open until Monday and another CM letting some people in that weren't APers. I approached the second CM and asked if there was a chance I might be able to sneak preview the ride. She asked if I was alone and when I said yes, she said go right on in. Yippee!!! I was in! The wait was about 10 minutes, then I was on my way! I love all the colors. And yes it was fun hearing the kids on the ride yelling out Nemo! Dory's my favorite. The yellow subs make the whole lagoon look lively and colorful. Its great to see them going again!

Or maybe I should say that DH inspired you, I'll let him know I agree about seeing the subs moving in the lagoon, it's great to see that again! They did have a soft opening yesterday (Friday.) We saw it around 5PM while we were on a tour. I thought, shoot, now why didn't I learn to access the web from my cell phone so I could let other LPers know to head for the Park
