I am not real sure that I understand what you mean here by vision.

When I was very young we went to Nashville Tennessee to the Grand Ole Opry. I remember the place as it was far different back in that day than it is now. When we went we saw "The Man In Black" (Johnny Cash). I remeber thinking right then that THAT would be ME someday on that stage.

MY VISION- I could SEE it all so clear, I could see myself right up there playing a black guitar, singing for all those people.

I came home and got a guitar for Christmas that year and lessons followed over the next several years.

Like I say, I dont know what you mean by vision but thats mine.

People are depressed on their 30th and 40th birthdays sometimes because they haven't lived up to their vision for their life. I know I was on my 30th, though I had little reason to be.

I think now my most powerful vision that I can share is that of my eventual death in about 30 years, barring any other arrangements I am not aware of at this time.

This really drives me to get the most enjoyment out of today that I possibly can, no matter what I am doing.

Believe it or not, this has really lifted my spirits as I am not afraid to die. You can die, and you can live, with no regrets when your life is joyful.

So, taking its meaning in that vein, there is one dream I had that was very vivid and when I woke I felt like I had just had a "vision." Weird I know but we're trying to be brave and real in answering these questions, aren't we? So, here goes.

A little over 20 years ago I had a very vivid dream. In this dream I was standing in a crowded, somewhat disorganized line. We were in an outside courtyard facing a single story building. There was a wall to my left and a talll chain-link fence behind me. I can close my eyes and still "feel" the grayness of it all. The weather, the people, everything "felt" gray. And everything was made of concrete. Men with batons circled around us and I could feel the fear of the people in line with me. I knew something bad was going to happen to me specifically but I was strangely okay with that. In the dream I didn't know what it was I was doing but I remember thinking that I hoped they didn't look in my shoe. I knew it would be really, reallly bad for me if they looked in my shoe. And then I woke up.

When I woke, I woke knowing that I had been caught smuggling pages of the Bible into China.

It wasn't the kind of dream where I woke up thinking, "Wow, that was weird." It had such a different feeling to it. It didn't feel like a dream. It felt like I had been shown something. I woke knowing that though I had absolutely, positively NO idea how I would end up in such a situation, I would.

    Weird, huh.

Now don't run me out of LP on a rail. I'm just trying to fully participate in Lisann's questions!

And I'm not crazy but I used to work for a self-proclaimed witch years ago who educated me in the ways of the strange so that I could converse with her patrons.

I've had backwards ones, but that doesn't count at all.
