Weekends since May have been very busy. And any day remotely close to a Holiday is very, very busy. If they want to avoid crowds, can your sister and your nephew schedule a visit in 2007 after the 50th ends? A weekday in the winter or early spring of '07, before the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage opens should be okay.

Historically, Sept. and Oct. aren't that busy but this year they were. We're going the week after Thanksgiving too, and I am telling my boyfriend and his parents (who are going too) to prepare for crowds.

My fiancee and I went this past October and assumed we'd picked a low-volume time. Uh uh. WE went Thursday - Saturday. The Thursday wasn't bad, but the Friday got worse and worse as the day wore on. Saturday was the same. For our holiday trip we're going the week of the 11th. We originally booked that week because previously it was my understanding that it was fairly quiet. After our October experience, I'm doing the same as the poster above - warning our family to expect crowds.
