So the question is, should I go with AAA who isn't local or stay with my local guy who seems like he doesn't want our business or is too busy to help us.

And is there any difference with the packages? I know at DL the AAA packages come with enhanced fast pass. Is there any advantage/disadvantage to going with AAA?

Thanks you all. You are always so helpful. We are just so excited for our first trip to WDW!!!

My AAA rate was ~15% less than Disney's (I got a pkg including dining). The room-only was ~20% off.

If you want, you can do your homework 1st (which it sounds like you have). Get the Disney pkg price from the website. Then call AAA and get their quote -- I would expect it to be ~15% less. If it is not, ask them why!

The "perks" through AAA aren't much. No FP enhancement at WDW (only DL). An "exclusive" guide (not nearly as helpful as these boards). A few "AAA Diamond Parking" spots at the parks. And a Diamond Card which gives 10-20% off some things (I'm using it for a boat rental).

Try again! I found the AAA rate worth it - even after having to fore-go Disney Visa card discounts (can't use multiple discounts).

AAA, WD Travel, Disney website and my local travel agent all had the same price - down to the penny! But if it comes with a discount card, that would be great. We'd love to rent a boat, waterski, whatever they let us do at the Contemporary.

That baffles me that you are not getting a discount through them? I booked through (800)922-8228 (No. California Center). Each agent I talked to had different expertise with Disney packages. To get a pkg quote, they actually have to call Disney (but you can't call Disney for a AAA quote). One guy seriously told me the Dining was ONE snack, ONE counter-service, and ONE table-service (per vacationer, not per night!).

AAA closed their MK VIP lounge on Apr 1, but still offers storytelling in the Exposition Hall Theatre.
