Is this really true? I was hoping for the room discount (if there is one) and discounts on shopping and entrance to a water park. We'd only want one AP, the rest would have passports.

Should I find a new travel agent or is he correct?

I don't think you can get the AP rate on the hotel and get the dining package.

Get AP discounts, and buy the Disney Dining Experience Card for $60 good for 20% off most full-service restaurants.

Or forgo room discounts and purchase the package with the dining.

However, if you want an AP, once you are on property you can upgrade the ticket you purchased through the package to an AP. If you do that first thing, you can still get the merchandise discounts.

With the $$$ savings on meals (hopefully), we just upgraded from POR to the Contemporary. I couldn't be more excited!!! None of us (DH, me, five kids under 10) have ever been to WDW. We are sooooo excited!!! (Can you tell?)

Thanks for the help. We will upgrade when we get there.
