it can make you flash back to that bad thing!
and it is very hurt full to you again.

Some people are very sensitive to topics that can cause that open wound to hurt again.

this forum is to be a happy place for us to come to.

there is a freedom to talk on many topics.
but I truly wish for more sensitivity on the posters part.

you could say.. like in world events... a bad thing in LA..

or bad situation in my town.

    or bad conress issue.

    or bad person search.

then we don't have to read the grisly headline!

and have painful flashbacks to the hurtfull thing that has hurt us or a loved one!
    thus bringing sorrow or tears

I am only asking that when we read a topic that is of ((( our choice! ))) .. but when we are just looking for trip reports or birthdays.. it is to pain full to read the horrible headline to some topic posts!

PLEASE can you think on what your wording is.
as it's to hard on feelings to read all the bad DETAILS. in a heading on a topic post!

then the person can CHOOSE to read the bad news. instead of it being in their face. on a forum that is
suppose to be a laughing place.

Frankly, I have so little time anymore, that I appreciate a more direct subject heading so I can get into it. Something bland I may overlook, just like I often don't have time to get into all the birthday threads, but that doesn't mean I don't wish them a happy one.

With kindness, let me suggest that we do have the Play Pen for all the light and silly and fun aspects of LP...and IMO Community is for sharing what is going on that touches people's lives outside of politics (which goes to WE). I appreciate the trust that LP'rs demonstrate by sharing their hurts as well as their happiness here.

    Hope you are well.

There is no way of knowing what word might cause hurt to someone.

Sorry to read something may have caused you pain.

I can empathise to a degree, however count me as a parson who prefers to know what I am going to read about in a thread.

In life some unfortunate events can happen, and can come back to haunt us. Sadly though, they can continue to happen to others. Councilling can be a great way to learn to compartmentalise those issues and feelings if wounds start to reopen (if that is felt to be an appropriate route).

I do not believe people come in here to specifically shock or offend (most of the time). In fact, quite the contrary. LP is full of wonderful people that like to support one another. If ever you feel you would like to discuss any issues, we are here.
