Diamond Horseshoe is operating under a similar premise. This way they don't have to reopen the kitchens. For a park like Epcot that essentially uses all of its kitchens as it is, it allows them to have the food it needs for days like NYE with things like Bento Boxes sold en masse at Japan and other such offerings - like the Picnic Lunches they offered over the summer at Animal Kingdom.

It was very peaceful. Obviously, opening it up now with catered cuisine is simply a reaction to two things: Spring Break and the DDP. Disney is dealing with dining capacity issues at EPCOT, so hopefully MK is on the radar. In 2006-07, they were planning to reopen the AV as a pirate-themed buffet type location. Of course, back then, they were also planning a real rehab of Space Mountain. I'd just like to see the place open.
