Many people, including myself, love SpectroMagic and they'll love it even more when it's returned refreshed. My only problem with it is that the parade has little entertainment to fill in space between floats, so it does get somewhat boring, but that's not enough in my books to call it tragic.

There's no reason (other than a desire to spend as little as possible) why a 21st century version couldn't be done. It was in Tokyo almost a decade ago now. (and just wait until they drag this same tired old parade back to Anaheim for a third time in 2011-12!)
