For my personal tastes, I would not stay there again, because there are so many other great options in Las Vegas, but that doesn't mean it's a dump. For the price, it's perhaps the best value of the MGM-Mirage resorts. Certainly it's a lot better than any of the pre-Mirage resorts (Flamingo, etc) that may be 30-40 years old by now, and it's not ultra-low-end like Excalibur and also not family-focused so it's not overrun with children. Good: one of only two pool areas in town with an artificial wave pool. Connected to CityCenter and new Aria casino. Free monorail to other end of CityCenter and Bellagio. Food court with 24-hour McD's. Clean. Okay location on Strip - you can go South by foot and explore those casinos, or north by the free monorail to Bellagio and see that end as well. Bad: Not much in terms of nightlife. Casino is bland. Only bar in casino is at far end. Other: Steakhouse "Brand" is okay (good by most city's standards, but LV has so many excellent restaurants that it's hard to compete), and has the benefit of being easy to get into because nobody is ever there. If you're an infrequent LV visitor and want to see many things in town, then it's probably one of the better options, both in terms of location and price/quality ratio. If you go frequently and want the full resort experience where you don't leave your own property much and take full advantage of the in-house amenities, then I wouldn't recommend it.

Have a god trip and tell us all about it i wish we had a Vegas section on lp! Vegas is probably my 2nd favorite place next to DL.

I wasn't crazy about the Excalibur. If I were to rank right now where I stayed and the reason: 1. TI-Wisconsin game w/friends and family 2. NY/NY-With friends 3. Tropicana-With friends 4. Flamingo-With family 5. Riveria-With friends/Bachelor party 6. Excalibur-With friends/Bachelor party
