If it were me, I'd want to get to WDW as fast as possible. Then the next year you can decide which one you enjoyed more, and have a much easier decision to make. Good luck!

Also there are 2waterparks (may be closed at one point or another in December check times to your travel dates) and 2minigolf parks with 2courses at each one.. I also want to add that if you haven't been to WDW there are many ride experiences that you just can't have at DLR.. that's just me.. YMMV of course and everyone does have their faves. I think in a week you can experience so much more at WDW than you can at DLR.

If you're staying for 4 days or less, I'd say DLR. If a week or so, and you're only interested in theme parks, go with WDW, especially since you were at DLR recently. If a week or more and you want to do things BESIDES theme parks with some of those days, I'd say DLR, because SoCal has so many more worthwhile and interesting things to see than Central Fla. IMO.

Originally Posted By trekkeruss <<I am a little overwhelmed with all that WDW has to offer.I don't want to miss anything>> WDW is so large, you will absolutely miss things... it is impossible to see it all in one trip. But don't let that scare you! Have fun planning.

Don't let that bother you, because what you don't experience this trip, you schedule for the next one. As for where to start, may I suggest http://www.allearsnet.com/ and the WDW Trip Planning board here.

EPCOT is nice but ehh not worth the trip, animal kingdom is basically a zoo ehh ok its nice..but really just a 'disney-styled' zoo. MGM is terrible..im sorry but it is..ToT is the only thing thats good there and so is fantasmic! but ehh disneyland is better in my honest opinion..i dont care for everything there- waterparks no hotels beautiful but be honest- whos there for the hotels?? no one so disneyland definately!

But DL's Fantasmic! is far better than the Studios' version. And while I'd agree that DL the park is better than the MK, the MK by no means sucks. And no, I wouldn't travel to Orlando just for a tour of hotels. But while I'm there, a visit to the various world class hotels is a completely fun part of the trip.

DL - can be at a reasonably priced, but non-DL hotel, with a short walk to the two parks, DL and DCA. Lots of rides in a small area, plus Downtown Disney. If you want to stay on site, much higher cost. Can see all you want at DL in 3-4 days easily. Can easily see other attractions like Legoland, Universal. WDW - can stay on site at very reasonably priced motels (e.g. All-Star Resort, Pop Century, Carribean). But will have to use bus, car, monorail, whatever to navigate between parks (can take away from time at parks). Lots more variety than just MK, with MGM, Epcot, Animals, waterparks. Could easily spend all 7 days at Disney attractions, but also have options of other attractions nearby (Sea World, Islands of Adventure, Universal). - weather - if fall, go to California. This is hurricane season on the east coast. If winter, go to East Coast, as this is rainy season in California, and it is cooler. - young kids/park schedule. If you want to take mid-day breaks, DL is better, easier to get to hotel. At WDW, going back to your hotel will always mean a bus, car, or monorail ride, which may be some distance away, unless you stay at noe of the more expensive hotels closer to the attractions (Contemporary, Grand Floridian?, Polynesian). - EPCOT is more adult friendly than kid friendly (with some exceptions) - at WDW, all your favourites are spread among many, many parks some distance apart. At DL, all your favourites are within two closely spaced parks, makes it easier to do multiple rides or go back or be flexible. Regardless, have a great time!

DL may be your second home, therefor altering your perception of MK. Its east coast's version of the original. Different but not necassarily better or lesser than Dl. . EPCOT is nice but ehh not worth the trip, -Lol, this guy is a comedian. Absolutely don't listen to this joke. Epcot is awesome. There is so much to see and do! Countries to explorer, Illuminations at night, and all the great attractions in WorldShowcase... animal kingdom is basically a zoo ehh ok its nice..but really just a 'disney-styled' zoo. -Is this Comedy Central?..lol..AK is no zoo. Its an awesome park that has sooo much to see and do, If you actually let yourself enjoy it. Its all about the Animals and cultures of some amazing places on earth. .MGM is terrible.. The ONLY way it would see
