They are launched with air canons nowdays, which are not as powerful as the explosive mortar charges of the olden days. Also, the ones launched off of the Castle don't go up very high.

My guess would be that, no they wouldn't tend to cause any structural problems.

Nah, my preference would be for Ursula the Sea Witch, as far as villains go.

"Wow, we have THAT here in Disneyland??", said management, or something to that effect according to Tony. "Can you show us where it's located?"

Like they didn't already KNOW?? Oh for gosh sakes...

Now that there is one of the things that's most wrong about Disneyland.

Just like their vaunted "Disneyland University" training that they give to regular cast members when they are first hired on (don't know if they even do that anymore), anyone and EVERYONE, from the resort President on down, who is in management at the park, should be forced to go through two days of mandatory training on the history and lore of Disneyland. MANDATORY.

It's hard to believe these stupid stuffed suits don't even have a reference shelf of books and maps and brochures to turn to. Or maybe they just don't care to. But if that's the case, then they shouldn't even be running the place. Call me naive... but it's DISNEYLAND for gosh sakes.

Seriously though, 'm glad to see this little gem coming back. Small touches like this give DL its personality that places like DCA and even WDW's MK lack.

And back to the castle shops quickly, I love the smell of those castle shops. They smell like an old building should (because the castle is made of old wood) and really lends a sense of age and authenticity to the building.

Now if they would only remove those gold swirly railings from the front of the castle around the balcony. Junk still left over from the 50th event.

I just have to wonder if the crown sign on the back of the castle that they have in the model is really nessecary. I think everybody knows that it's Sleeping Beauty Castle (or something similar), and te sign says nothing about the attraction inside nor is it near the actual entrance. IMO, the family crests are a muhc better addition to that area.

ORGOCH: Speak fer yerself, tramp!! I don't plan ta kiss no dang Prince!! 'spec'ly not Prince Fill-er-up!! After the way he went an' poked poor Malef'cent with a sharp sword, I don't trust the jerk!!

One would at least think that management would question what was in the upper floors of the castle at some point over the years. The incompetence of Disneyland management boggles the mind.

But Hans, if it does not exist on either a spreadsheet or on a Blackberry, then to DL Management, it simply doesn't exist. Once something is off of the radar scope, consider it crashed and burned.

    'Tis sad but true.

In some ways we have to also fault the system that's in place that allows something like this to happen. I mean how is it that this little attraction got shuttered, sealed up, and forgotten and then a DVD is released and suddenly everyone "remembers" that it's there? Clearly the system is so inefficient that the various entities within the organization aren't working together in a synergistic way.
