They're sound is definitely like Freddie Mercury and Queen, [maybe that's why I like it] and in fact the song makes a reference to Freddie.

Give it a watch/listen on YouTube, tell us whatcha think...

But now we're even. You listen to Grace Kelly while I watch "Snow White". ;-)

(And a little off-topic but when I ran them through itunes, it recommended "The Fratellis". Not Freddie or Queen inspired, but Chelsea Dagger is a catchy tune. Though the lyrics may not be something you'd want to hear your 12 yr old sing. lol.)

I thought Mika was the guy's name (not a group name)? I'm not sure if it's the same person but I was reading about a Mika who was rejected by Simon Cowell for being too "unconventional", and has now released a CD.

Apparently the album will be released in the states March 27th, having already dropped in the UK.

I still think it's catchy, Tall Disney Guy. But it beats 'Bluddle-Uddle-Um-Dum (The Dwarfs' Washing Song)' for my listening pleasure any day of the week! :)

I love "Grace Kelly"! And I really like the other music clips that play in the background of his website.

I really like the video for "Grace Kelly," too. To me, he's VERY charismatic in it. It's the Freddie voice, the Tim Curry/Frankenfurter expressiveness, his playfulness, the warm fun way he interacts with the little girl and the older lady, the way he moves... and, okay, okay, that he's cute. (I hate the selling of music with cheekbones, and I hate myself for being vulnerable to it. But I'm human. Sue me.)

His biography on his website is interesting.

Seriously, thank you for sharing this, Jim. I think I'll be snagging the CD.

I've played his CD a couple of times, and it's quite good.

Has an Elton John, George Michael, even Junior-Senior and Queen feel to it.

One song even has an ELO / Beatles sensibility to it.

Not all the songs are home runs, but overall, it's a very listenable album.
