No one stole my prized possesions or my mom's mother's rings so that is good.

I got an IPOD Touch for Christmas and going to ask later if I can trade it in for cash so we can get some more things, we have insurance, but still.

Thank you for listening to me rant. Sorry to bother the happy boards. Hope you all are safe at home and my prayers are with you not having to deal with crap like this.

Talk to your school councelor, he/she is a trained professional and may be able to help, at least with the feelings part.

So sorry this happened. Be very thankful it wasn't at gunpoint and that no one was hurt.

2 of my kids had their car windows broken and stereo etc. stolen, they also felt the creepiness and it was "just" their car not their home.

I understand the feeling of being scared and I hope that these people are caught just like the snipers were. I also am glad that no one was hurt.

We have had this happen ourselves and the feeling of being violated is scarey indeed.
These days I wish someone would try a stunt like that. Our 3 TV's are analog and the computers are all over 6 years old. My camera's zoom lens keeps sticking.
It is lucky your mother still has her sentimental things. I lost the bracelets I got in the hospital when my children were born. Those no doubt ended up in a dumpster.
Hang in there. It will get better and I hope you get what you want when the insurance check arrives.
