The original series took several episodes to find its groove (Corey originally had a posse of 3-4 kids), and several seasons until it really hit its stride (when he and Topanga started dating), so I'm willing to give it some time I agree that the use of the word "world" bordered on the ridiculous at times, but it would have made for a great drinking game! I agree that the best scenes seemed to be the ones without the parents. If the parents can stay in the background, yet not totally out of the picture, like on the original series, I can see where this could go. It seemed like Ben Savage was just too excited to finally have another role, and was attempting to steal every scene. I'm also not sure why Jackee was there, but it worked I did think it was odd that, unlike Shawn's misguided-ness, it seems like they're trying to make Maya actually bad. Instead of childhood mischief, it seems like maybe they're trying to make her worse than that. Maybe they were just trying to make the dichotomy clear, but this could be a downfall. Hopefully it's addressed (and not too heavy-handed) in the future I'm interested to see what happens with Mr Feeney. It seems like he might be some sort of guardian angel or something. I'm also curious if any other cast members are coming back; I remember reading that they were all on set, but apparently none of them made the final cut I was a really big fan of the vintage Michael Jacobs logo and chime at the end of the episode!
