It's a tough choice, because I really loved Princess, but there's a reason for my choice. "Princess" was wonderful, but it's Disney doing a princess movie, for Pete's sake - you'd almost expect Disney to make at least a good movie considering their track record with this sort of thing. Now, if somebody had come to you a couple of years ago and said their animation studio was making a movie about an old man who attaches balloons to his house and flies off on an adventure (and you didn't know the guy worked for Pixar), what would your reaction have been? Mine would have been something like, "Good luck with that", and I would have walked away thinking the movie was going to be a disaster. But Pixar pulled it off, and pulled it off spectacularly, with great characters, beautiful animation, and a fun plot. Don't get me wrong - both movies are very good. But I think Pixar made "Up" work when I don't think any other studio could have is worth a few brownie points. Your thoughts?
