I had finished my exercises and got changed, sprayed on lots of body spray and was re applying my lipstick ready to walk home and have a wash before i picked my son up from nersery. I arent confident enough to strip naked and get into the showers there, there's NO way you could do it discreatly. Anyway, this woman came in and stood by her clothes which were hung just a couple of feet away from where I was sitting. She was about 65 and very large. I was telling her I hoped I didnt bump into anyone I knew on the way home. She was laughing and stood facing me, then she stripped TOTALLY, there I was a couple of foot away at the most, from a total stranger, in the nude. I pretended I hadnt noticed!!.......lol............she was huge remember!!!...everywhere!!!!!.... I told my dh about it later and he just said " so what, we all walk about naked in ours in the changing room and shower. Is it just me then?? Last week when I was just about to leave I over heard about 5 women in the changing room commenting on one of them having a " boob job!" (as they so nicely put it,) they were all asking her for a closer inspection!!! I'm a prude arent I?

A lot of people are just at an age where they dont care....but they wouldnt have those stalls either if there werent people with insecurities or people who are uncomfortable. I personally, dont change in front of people unless its a top or something...dont feel bad at all.

But I was a little surprised when getting changed in a Swimming pool once when a bunch of women came in and got changed in full view (I think I was in Germany - it was a unisex changing room). I think the woman was in the right, but if you are not comfortable getting changed and showered yourself, I can understanhd that too. But I agree with your DH - she was perfectly normal.

"mmmmmm, do you mean the one who smells?" " yes, that's the one!" I use a lot of deoderant wipes and body spray though, I'll wash before I meet you in December Dave! (unless I've just been to the gym)........lol

Im not even worried that someone might think I look over weight or anything, just the whole naked thing......lol ( btw, as mentioned in previous posts, all prudishness did go out of the window during my sons births, think it's something they add to the epidural!...anti prude potion!)

For some reason though, I think if I had a slammin' body, I may be brave enough to shower in one of those places. Women are so hard on eachother when it comes to our bodies. Also for some reason a lot of women feel like "oh, it's just us girls...so why be shy?" I once stayed at my brother-in-law's mother's house on vacation once and I was soaking in her huge tub in the bathroom and in she comes like a bat out of hell!!! I was MORTIFIED! But all she said was, "oh, I have the same things so no big deal..." Yikes! No, you're not a prude, but for some reason I think it makes it a little bit harder to handle because she was so big.
