We were in the bag check line at 6:30, and as soon as the gates opened we made a brisk walk (no running in the park) over...we along with about 1000 other folks. We had a wait of less tham 20 minutes. It was very cute, and we enjoyed it, but I wouldn't have waited 2 hours for it. We then went to Cafe Orleans for eggs benedict and Mickey waffles. Today we had planned on spending our time in CA, but first we had to ride Splash. I sat in front, got drenched, and had "Splash" on me for the remainder of the morning. DD wanted to ride the train one more time, so we did. We saw that Pooh was in the park so we stopped to say hi and give him a hug. I got some "Splash" on Pooh, but he didn't seem to mind. Over to CA. We checked out Character Close Up, Turtle Talk With Crush, and the Sorcerer's Workshop. In the Beast's library, I found out that I am most like Belle, and DD is Cinderella. On the way to Monster's Inc we saw Sully, so we gave him hugs and got our picture taken with him. It was time for the first showing of Aladdin, and since we had never seen it before, we went. Oh my goodness...that show is fantastic! We all loved it, and DH said he liked it better than Phantom Of The Opera. DH didn't like Phantom Of The Opera at all, so at first I wasn't sure if he liked Aladdin. He said that it was great. After the show we had to go check on Rita's place and see how things were going. Going just fine. DD wanted to play in Redwood Creek, so we did another check on Rita's and took our drinks over. DD had a blast there, and asked if we could possibly put up a tire zip line at home like they have there. DH said that he could, so we studied the way it was put together, and will get one going once we get home. Then, she wanted to know if we could put Grizzley River Run at home. The second we win the lottery, we will. Over to Paradise Pier where we tried our darndest to talk DH into the Sun Wheel of Death. DD and I love that ride, but it scares DH to death. He went on it once and vowed "never again". He won't even go in the red cars for woosies. DD and I rode, and we got a picture of DH with the Wheel in the background...close enough. Off to California Screamin'. We have never ridden this ride before because EVERY time we've been to the park, the ride has been broken. I have never screamed so much in my entire life, but I loved it. This is now DD's favorite ride. DD wanted to go play the midway games, so after another visit to Rita's, we gave her a few bucks, and sat down by the watefront to relax while she played. In short order, she brought back 6 rather large animals and asked for more money. She hit me up for another $10. Not much time had passed when she returned with one animal. I asked her if she had lost the rest of her money. She told me that she had won 6 more animals, but had given them all away to other kids around her that hadn't won any. Baby makes me proud. She had one left, and saw a little girl sitting on a bench with her mother near us. She walked over to the little girl and asked if she would like to have the animal. The girl's mother explained to DD that her daughter didn't speak english and asked her what she wanted to say to her daughter and she would translate. It sounded to me that the mother had a very thick Russian accent. DD explained that she had won several animals that day, and wanted to give the extra ones to other little kids. The mother translated this to her daughter who broke out in a great big smile and took the animal from DD. Baby makes me REAL proud. Then it was off to Mailboomer, the Orange Stinger (which we rode twice), Mulholland Maddness, and then back to Grizzley where we got blasted by both geysers again. I should have brought my soap and shampoo. Over to Soarin' again...this is one of our favorite rides. By now we were getting hungry, and once DH checked his new Goofy watch, he saw that it was a bit before 8:00, and almost time for the Electrical Parade. Right in front of Brrrrrbank Ice Cream was an empty table, so I had DD sit there while we went and got food. This will be a perfect spot to watch the parade. We went to Taste Pilot's Grill where we got chili burgers and beer, and then settled comfortably at our table to eat and watch the parade. We then decided to head back to DL and we watched the fireworks as we walked between the parks. Once inside, we rode Thunder, POTC, Indy and the Jungle Cruise. We all love riding at night. DH and DD remarked that I had not screamed once during any of the rides. I told them that these rides were NOTHIN' after riding Screamin'. I was congratulated on my new-found bravery. We hit the shops on Main Street, grabbed another ice cream, and headed back to the hotel at closing. We all remarked that tomorrow would be our last day, and how sad that made us feel. As far as the half-wits go, the went to the San Diego Zoo today. They saw the pandas and the gorillas...then mom wanted to go back to the rental van and wait for them to finish. She said she didn't feel too well. They offered to put her in the shade somewhere comfortable, but she wanted to wait in the van. This meant that she wanted to go back to the hotel, and she wanted to go back now. She said she took a three hour nap when they got back...she was just tired. They should have put her in the van and left her there with the windows rolled up. Ok, that was bad, I'll slap my own face, thank you. They had gotten back to the CCI at 3:00 that day. Had the half-wits not wasted their passes on wednesday, they could have joined us in the park for the remainder of the day. Since they had no pass, they had the pleasure of sitting at the pool, staring at each other until they went to bed. Word on the street is that they were so bored they went to bed at 8:30. When dad and BIL returned the rental van, they noticed that the front bumper cover was all scraped up. I asked them what they got charged for the damage. They said that they just dropped it off in the drop-off zone and high-tailed it out of there. No word yet on what dad's credit card will be charged. I'm quite sure they know who rented the van. Dad says that someone must have backed into them at the zoo. They said that they will meet us at the gates at 7:30 tomorrow morning. They don't get up that early, so we'll call them from the park sometime after 9.
