    We were at the park yesterday. Two separate times a jet flew over the park. Once while we were on Dumbo! Someone said that there had actually been four. Does anyone know why or where they were going. We're just curious. Thanks!

I live 5 miles form DL the way the Jets were headed and they are always flying over my house. We sit in the air path of all the jets and air craft that go to that base. Might have just been them returning or testing. who knows.

It is separated from the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station and National Wildlife Preserve by the neighborhood of College Park East and the 405 Freeway. Jets don't land at Seal Beach. :)

    The other day, I definately saw what looked like a news helicopter flying direclty over DCA, pretty much following the parade route, about 300-400 feet up. It wasn't too distracting, since I was in one of those areas that didn't really have a theme, but I can imagine it taking away from things if I had seen it from over by Grizzly, or pretty much anywhere in DL. I guess it could have been a police helicopter, but it was still strange seeing it so low right over DCA.

    Hmmm, there were helecopters flying over DLP as well when we were there a couple of weeks ago. do you think they may be filming Soarin' over the world and will feature the different parks around the globe (or localised footage for the home park???)

    Disney owns the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) as well as KABC-TV Channel 7. Disney no longer owns Channel 9-KCAL. Disney was forced to sell KCAL when they purchased ABC. Your government at work.

    If I remember correctly the air space over the Disneyland Resort is actually a controlled "no fly zone" meaning that general aviation aircraft, such as small, single engine planes, flying under visual flight rules that are not in contact with Air Traffic Control are not allowed to fly over Disneyland, if on the other hand if a commercial airliner that is in contact with Air Traffic Control and is told to fly over Disneyland or if a News Helicopter ask Air Traffic Control if they can fly over Disneyland, they are allowed to do so. Police and Med-Evac Helicopters do not have to follow the no fly zone rules.
