For those of you that don't know it's according to many the greatest graphic novel ever. I don't completely agree with the assessment. But the movie looks very cool

I haven't read it in years - it's been a long time. But it's the book that brought mature comics into the mainstream, isn't it? I think it was definitely a good read, but it was also a major milestone for the comics industry.

Not sure how it'll work as a movie, but it does look cool.

Yep, it and The Dark Knight Returns helped to change people's viewpoints of comic books as being a kid thing.

I saw it with The Dark Knight, and I was just blown away. Apart from a few of the character appearances, I've been trying to keep myself unspoiled on this film (even though I've read the book many times), and I'm glad I did. (Although I did accidentally get spoiled on the look of Dr. Manhattan a couple of days ago. Someone posted it on a blog I read over on LiveJournal, & I saw it while looking over my Friends list.)

I can't wait until next March!

WATCHMEN is my favorite book. I have been both drooling for AND dreading a film adaptation. But when the Nite Owl hovership floated up out of the East River, I thought I'd pass out. My expectations are sky high for this one.

Please please please please please please let this not suck.

Here's some side-by-side screen cap/comic book panel comparisons from the trailer:

I'm really excited about this one, but I need to re-read the original comic. I read it so long ago (when it first came out, as a matter of fact), I have no idea what was going on in the trailer. Still pyshced for it though.
