Of course to a Brit/Aus the Hershey chocolate you're used to would be very exotic, I wouldn't say American chocolate is worst, just different.

We do have Cadbury in the US, but not the dairy milk. Our Cadbury is very different.

I guess the advantage of living in a commonwealth country beside US, is you get a bit of both.

smedley, do you get it there? If not, I'd love to send you some! However, it does not have the same creamy richness that the Dairy Milk has.

SuzieQ, must be nice being so close!!!

I must admit ~ I'm a huge fan of the dark chocolate ~ the 70% kind. I love it.

You're right, debtee. It's a loosely kept secret that our Cadbury creme eggs are filled with human snot.

    SuzieQ, you are so right!!!

An overseas poster generously sent me Cadbury as a thank-you. OMG! I'm ordinarily not a chocolate bar-crazed person. But in this case, I've actually hidden the chocolate from Mr. Bill! It was disappearing too fast and I couldn't let that happen!

Same with the British Cherry Liquors I received. Oh.My.GOD! NOTHING like the inferior American version!

I've tried the Cadbury's chocolate over there, and I'm afriad it's entirely not the same animal at all :)

I've not tried Ghirardelli's chocolate though, the only time I've been in one was the one at DTD WDW, and I had a cherry ice cream sundae :0

You are very kind to offer to send some over to me. If you'd like to email me to chat then my email addy is in my profile :)

May I say again what a pleasure it was to have you as my bash pal, we seem to share a similar theme in tastes, so buying for you was easy (and I even had some of the things already :) )
