It looked SO odd because it only had one smoke stack. They said it was finally coming back onto the river at DLP and I thought, "How weird! First to have a paddle wheeler with only one smoke stack, second to have it out of service for apparently so long and third, to not have a Mark Twain!"

Looking further down the post however they also showed an image of the DLP MT, so all was well.

Anyway, was anybody else surprised to see a SECOND boat on the rivers? Is there THAT MUCH demand?

But this is not a first. WDW's MK used to have two paddle wheelers. And of course Disneyland has both the Mark Twain and the Sailing Ship Columbia.

And yes, the demand can be quite high in peak seasons where there run them both. They periodically pull out the Keel Boats too. Sadly though the canoes disappeared about 17 years ago :-(

The Molly Brown is a beautiful ship. I like it better than the Mark Twain. In my opinion the ship looks better with the new colour scheme.
