My family- DH David me-Carol 4 boys- Tucker 16, William 13, Samuel 12 in 2 weeks and Nathan 9 My sister, Gwynn and Nephew Dan 18. Dan is a new DL employee and my sister is moving him down here. We are staying at the DLH for the second time ever- first time was 5 1/2 years ago. We were supposed to have my brother's family here also and one of my boys was going to stay with them at the GCH. But they moved their trip to last week. I wasn't sure what we were going to do with the extra child, but then my sister and son ended up coming at the same time so the boys are taking turns staying with them. After a very pleasant 18 hour drive, we finally got here. We just bought a new car, so the drive really was pleasant. We got to the DLH around 2:00pm so we went to check in. The line wasn't too bad to check in. They told us we had a package from UPS and we needed to pick it up from Bell Service. Hmm, not sure what it was. We had ordered our tickets through Getawaytoday and were supposed to pick them up at the Main Desk- I was pretty sure they were sent electronically. They had no record of them and thought maybe that was the UPS package. So after we check in, we go wait at Bell Service- tghey have no record of a package for us! My husband and kids go to get our luggage while I go wait in the line for info. She says, " Hmm, this is strange, they should have it." She tries to call them but they don't answer so she tells me to go wait in line with them....again. Once again, they don't have anything or any record of anything. They call the front desk-they are all very confused. I am worried that it is our tickets and we wont' be able to get them. We bought 8 day parkhoppers so we could go in the day we arrived. The front desk again checks for our tickets. They say they will do some research on the package and get back to us. Tucker and I walk to a ticket booth to see if we can get our tickets electronically there- no problem! We call the rest of the family and head to the park to do a little before our 5:50 Goofy's kitchen PS. Dh gets us Buzz FP while I head to see if there is some sort of GAP so that Nathan doesn't have to wait in lines in the sun- he burns very easily because of meds. We then ride Peter Pan- this is our traditional first ride and my kids insist on keeping tradition. We then do Star Tours- very little line and it is then time for our Buzz FP. We are very pleased at the length of the lines! We decide to ride the Monorail back to the hotel. This was a mistake- it took quite a while. But we made it in plenty of time. We meet up with Gwynn and Dan. Dan had just finished his first day of orientation. He was flying high! This was their first time at Goofy's! The food and service was great ( except our waitress saw my Castaway Cay shirt and said, " That is where Gilligan's Island was filmed!" I don't think that is correct, is it? Oh well, she was very nice!)the character interaction was lacking- maybe my kids are too old now. Still, not that big of a deal. We then head to DCA- Nathan really wants to ride Toy Story. Sam broke his leg 4 1/2 months ago ( very severely, nearly lost his foot). He is doing very well and we thought we would see how he did walking. On the walk to DCA we realized we will have to rent a wheelchair. He is already hurting pretty badly- limping quite a bit and VERY swollen! We will call a wheelchair rental place today. We head to Toy Story- it says 40 minute wait but was only 30. William wasn't thrilled about having to wait in line that long ( he is spoiled with going non summer times!) but after the ride said it was well worth it! It was so much fun! We still have time to walk on Soarin before DCA closes. We had thought about going over to DL, but Sam is hurting and we all are tired ( It is only 9:00pm in CA but feels like 11:00pm to us). William is the one staying with Dan and Gwynn this night so we send them on their way and head back to the DLH. I hear Sam stirring in the middle of the night- he is on the day bed. I ask him if he would be more comfy on the bed and I trade places with him. He says he hurts and asks if he can take a shower to feel better. I say sure. I go check on him and he is throwing up-in the bathtub- UGH!!! I clean it all up and he says he feels better- that maybe he just ate too much. I think the pain makes him sick also. Hopefully he will be all better when he gets up. Still don't know what the mysterious package is but I think we accomplished a lot for a partial day! We aren't going to try and make MM this morning- we decided to let everyone sleep in. Hmm, I'm awake- maybe I'll just go by myself! Nathan is an early riser- he could go with me!

At least you can do the "baby switch" thing with a person in a wheelchair, isn't that correct, so they don't have to wait in the line? Hope he's feeling better and that the package shows up. xoxo
