    Let me think....

He gave me a strong work ethic.

He has taken a strong interest in my children.

    He taught me things.

I just lost him in June and I think about him all of the time.

What I do like about him is:

    1) Very, very strong work ethic

    2) Will drop things on a dime if my daughter or I need help with anything

    3) He has gotten a lot more easy going and a lot more funny as he gets older

He showed me that there is no limit to what I can do, so long as I make the effort to try.

I WISH my dad had taught me those things. He did teach me how to hit a curve ball but that doesn't do me much good now that I'm in my mid-30's.

He was honored and respected without seeking to be.

Wow, I really miss him :-(

It'll be hard to list just 3!

Someone said earlier that their Dad made sure they never wanted for anything, well my Dad didn't do that for us as we were many kids in a single parent family being brought up my Dad, but we never wanted for what was important. I never felt unloved at home. He always took care of us even when we could barely afford to eat. Even when he was so depressed that he would lay in bed once we were at school he would be up again by the time we were home, happy and smiling.

He also taught me to love everybody for who they are, he shows unconditional love to us kids and taught us to give it back in return. It's probably because of him that I can't hate anyone - I really can't (trust me I've tried).

He taught me how to play. He is very sporty and very competitive, but always fair. We play cards together at least once a week and I love the time we get to spend together.

I could go on and on....!!!

He worked very hard and was a good provider.

Anyhoo, he was always easygoing and loved the Lord of the Ring movies although he died before he could see the last one.
    To sum up:
    1. loved LOTR
    2. easygoing
    3. came through when I needed him most.

    3. He gave my mom, sister and I vacations. He worked hard and played just as hard. He taught my sister and I the importance of taking time out to enjoy our lives.

I have to add he gave me my love of Disney too. He was the one that was the Disney enthusiast. He'd go to DL at the drop of a hat and I inherited that from him. He loved to walk around the park to admire the details and quality.

Since we have the same mom and dad, our answers are the same!

    1) Thanks dad, for making me a workaholic, too! It's great! :) (Can anyone ask me why he asks me why I work so much all the time. Helllllloooo, you did too!!!!)

    2) He will drop anything on a dime to help my sister and my niece. And did answer my calls at 2 am or whenever my car broke down when I was in college and working at DL, so it's even and fair).

    3) We don't see eye to eye on a few things, either, but then again I'm old enough now to argue back on some things and he listens to me now.
