At least it is warmest then. Also, you could plan a water ride just prior to a rest break back at your hotel room. The extra socks idea is a really good idea. I like the fact that Grizzly River Run is right next to the hotel entrance for the Grand Californian where you can take a break by the fireplace and by some hot drinks at the bar. They probably serve hot cocoa there as well. If not, Whitewater Snacks is just around the corner near the pool area. Good luck.

My 5 year old ended up with a bad rash where his wet jeans rubbed on his legs where they tucked into his rain boots. He started crying. We took him to the first aid station in California adventure for bandaids and the nurse was concerned that he was too cold, she had him undress and wrapped him in a blanket that she had put in a dryer.
I came back from buying sweat pants and a sweat shirt and he was all bundled on a bed with just his little face showing. My husband was standing next to him looking rather longingly at the warm blanket.
The nurse was very disturbed with us for "letting our child get so cold" He never complained until the rash was hurting. We now bring lots of extra clothes in a backpack and even an extra set for him that we leave in a locker. We bring those swishy nylon pants that are little rainproof with a soft lining. I read somewhere else about someone who sprays her clothes with water repellant. I haven't tried that.

I don't remember getting that wet on Splash but then again it's been a couple of years since I rode it...

After that our favorite "attraction" was the Zocalo Restaurant with its space heaters. I have a picture of my son warming himself under one of the heaters.

The next time we rode splash we had poncho's and it was no problem.

Target, $10, a full suit, pants and hooded jacket. Some people think this is too much trouble but if you want to ride water rides in winter or at night (our favorite time) you stay dry. Plastic wrap aroung the shoes is good if one is getting extra wet or if it is raining hard.
    Good luck and have fun!!!!!!
