Anyone pick up a copy yet?

On a related but different subject. This season is shaping up to be great for us CD collectors. Little Woman, Pacific Overtures, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Spamalot are all due out over the next several months. Yeah!!!

I think it's really a smart CD. There are a couple of great arrangements where different songs are mushed together. My faves are the "I Won't Say"/"Let's Get Together" combo and the "I Just Can't Wait to be King"/"I Wanna Be Like You"/"Lavendar Blue" (!) combo. Very creative and completely adorable.

Also, the young girl in the show is great. Her version of "Reflection" made me like the song even more. And she does that "change" song from B'way B&B that I usually hate, but not when she sings it.

The CD is sort of pricey, but it is 25 bucks for 2 cd's. Skip the show, buy the cd.

I also listen to this CD on all long roadtrips. If you love Disney music but only want to hear short versions of each melody(who really wants to listen to an entire version of Small World, right?)I recommend this. And to hear "Be Our Guest" in four different lanquages is really fun.

I guess I have to learn her name, seeing that she's playing Mary Poppins on broadway.
