Originally Posted By Jim in Merced CA Maybe these movies have become easier to animate or something, but I think it's odd that someone can be added to an animated feature with less than one year for it to hit the big screen. 11 months until opening? It's no wonder that the movies in the past 10 years seem to be a bit 'rushed' from a script perspective.

So it doesn't even matter what the title is either. I won't be thinking of The Snow Queen anymore because this new script is nothing like the original fairy tale. I'll just sit back and enjoy it for what it is. I do know a lot of people who are disappointed that Disney has drifted so far from The Snow Queen's original story. But at least they went all the way in coming out with something altogether different from their inspiration. That's all The Snow Queen is, at this point--an inspiration for a new story called FROZEN!
Originally Posted By FerretAfros I'm not really familiar with the original story, but it does sound like they're taking a different enough approach that it will be considered something unique, like how people found parallels between The Lion King and Hamlet, yet they're really not all that similar. As for Groff, it does seem odd that they're just now announcing his involvement, even if he's actually been involved for some time. It does worry me some about how rushed the final product will be, since this one has been in development for so long.
