I just want to get my bag to Hojo's and be off to the park as quickly as possible--I only have 2 half days and 1 whole day, so I want to spend every second in the parks!

I think it's up to $19 one-way now from LAX to HoJos.

The negative reviews I've read all had to do with how long it takes to be dropped off because of all the stops the bus makes on Harbor; but I've also read really negative reviews about super shuttle where the driver took people to private residences way out of the way, which added a great deal of time to the drive. How much does the Express bus drive around the airport before finally heading out for DL?

Once at the resort, the driver stops at the Disneyland hotel, where everyone pays or presents vouchers to the cashier who comes on the bus. Then the number of stops depends on the number of different hotels.

    It's really pretty convenient.

Both times, in both directions, we were taken to the DLH where they collect your tickets or collect money if you don't have a ticket already. The second time we used them we had a long wait going both directions. It could have been timing at LAX. We may have just missed a bus. Our wait at our designated stop in Anaheim for our return trip to LAX was long. They were 30 minutes late and they still had to stop at one more hotel. Once we reached the DLH, they did there ticket/fare thing and then we had to transfer onto another bus. The first time I used them we weren't transferred onto another bus at the DLH for the return trip to LAX. We stayed on the same bus. It was inconvenient because all of the people and the bags had to be unloaded and then loaded again. We still made it in plenty of time for our flight, but if you were cutting it close, you would have been scrambling to make your flight. We stopped at different hotels both times, it depends on how many people are on the bus and at what hotels they are staying at. There was plenty of room on the bus, it was comfortable, air conditioned and they even had an older Mickey Mouse cartoon playing for the kids. If you are patient, and just want to sit back and relax, this is the way to go. I would certainly use them again. Just be sure to leave enough time to make it to the airport for your flight.

I used Super Shuttle one trip and NEVER again!

Usually we rent a car when we are down but if not the Disneyland Express is wonderful :)

Threeundertwo, I'll be flying in on Delta--do you happen to know where that falls on the pickup order?

So, Disneysk, you're saying it actually is more efficient when you DO have to transfer to another bus at the DLH? Good to know, even though I don't suppose I'll have any say in the matter.:)

Quincytoo, you seem most vehement in your feelings about Supershuttle! Would you mind relating what went wrong with your SS experience, or would it bring back too many unhappy memories? :)

She said the bus trip from SNA to our hotel should take about 30 minutes and that ty=he bus rarely fills up at the airport. It does stop at DLH first, would have been great last year, but this year we're staying at PArk Vue.

Car seats are not required and after schlepping 2 car seats last year in addition to luggage and kids I'm all for no car seats. Also, I think my kids would love to ride on the DL bus and watch videos on the way.
I think I would feel safer on a bus with no car seats than on a Super Shuttle or taxi with no car seats. I'm sure a taxi for $40 is more economical but after tip it may not be.
I'd rather pay a few dollars more and feel safer.

Super Shuttle took almost 1 hour to get from SNA to DLH. We were sitting there waiting for more people to get on the van and I was praying nobody would get on. But of course two business women hopped on with 2 different destinations. The driver dropped them off first and then us. My 2 boys kept asking me "how much longer?" "Are we there yet?". I told them to ask the driver.
I know they have to drop off which ever is closer, but I think it should be whoever is on the shuttle first.

You say they told you 30 minutes from airport to DLH, but I've been hearing up to 1 & a half hours if you're one of the last to be dropped off. Hopefully, that's a worst case scenario!

I agree with you about the shuttle--they SHOULD first drop off the people who get on first. If they start a new shuttle company with that policy, I'll be the first to sign up!

On the way back I had to catch the Shuttle at least 4 hours before my flight and then the shuttle picked up three people on the way to Airport in subdivisions.

I just like that Disneyland Express in just that ...a Express ride straight to Disneyland :)

disneyscootergal- We are going at the end of September during the week. We actually arrive on a Sunday afternoon and depart on a Saturday morning.
Disneyland Express sounds like a more enjoyable way to get to the best place on earth. I think my kids would also love to ride on a big bus that has Disney all over it!

LOL So true! I won't have any kids with me, and I know it would give me a thrill, too!

Boy, it sounds like you are going at the perfect time, Joeysmommy! You shouldn't see much in the way of crowds, I wouldn't think. Have a magical time!
