Plastic Bottled milk at bakery

Besides tasting like plastic, it wasn't very charming. Does anyone know if this was a one day one time experience or another cost cutting measure?

It was likely just a psychological reaction to drinking from a plastic container that fooled your brain into thinking it "tasted" plastic when you were drinking the product.

    I vote for individual bottles of milk rather than just a glass poured from a common carton.

    As of less than two hours ago, they have the same things at the Coke Corner as well. My cousin was surprised that it didn't come in a little carton, but she was quite happy about it, as she thought the other kind tasted like cardboard. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

    I prefer the carbonated milk in an aluminum can. It has a liner so as not to taste like metal, and the light carbonation extends it's shelf life.

    I am guessing here, but I think that clear plastic is not used to bottle milk because it allows in harmfull UV while the opaque plastic does not. While the opaque plastic can leech off-flavor into the milk, generally milk is consumed before this can happen.

    Wow, trekkeruss, thanks for that information. We can learn a lot, not just about Disneyland, at Laughing Place! Interesting, so there is hope: although I'll never buy milk in plastic containers by choice because of the taste, I hope that at Disneyland they go through it quickly enough so that it will be consumed before much of a plastic taste can be acquired.
