Maybe just luck...We were there just over 2 and a half hours ahead of time last year as that was the shuttle time etc. and walked in 1st in line to check in and NO one but security people at security! I have been lucky I guess...(probably just jinxed myself!!!) but have never had line ups at LAX. They do recommend that closer to Thanksgiving ,in the states, that you arrive 3 hours prior to departure. Your leaving soon right??? Look for us at the HoJo!

However, we had our neice (1yr old) (and her parents) with us and they let all of us skip to the front of the line. If you are with a young child I would ask.

Originally Posted By LuLu Saturday is a very slow travel day. I can't speak for terminal 3, but I breezed thru at terminal 1 a few Saturdays ago. Go by whatever the airline tells you, I think I was told 1 1/2 hours which was way more than enough time for a Saturday.

I got to the airport on a Monday morning around 6:30AM for an 8:00 flight. I made the flight but sure didn't have time for breakfast as I had planned.
