Maybe, just maybe the 97,000 figure you speak of was a total "through the gate" number or a combined DL and DCA figure. Also, again if I am not mistaken, the gates were never "closed". I believe that what has been happening is ticket sales have been halted, and anyone not possesing admission already were not being let into the park. DL has been restricting ticket sales and entrance to the park every day this past week. Let's just stick with the "it will be very crowded" statement and leave it at that.

I will e-mail one of the Ops. Managers for attractions and ask her, but I'd probably fall out of my seat if that was true. But, to answer the original question. It's one of the busiest days of the year in one of the busiest years ever. But it will be fun!!

However I bet you that if they would have not stopped selling tickets and not restricted access on some days this past week they could have broken 100k but of course they can not do that because there is not enough capacity for the fire marshall. If disneyland is even going to break its record for attendance in the 80's it will need to add several new attractions. Replacing Country bears and circle vission does not help. And having the people movie empty does not help either.
Originally Posted By imagineer1985 Oh and to answer the original question it will probably be as crowded as disneyland can be with tickets sells being cut and entrance being limitted. whilet this may sound terribly crowded it really is not too bad all rides are running at full capacity with all the boats, trains, and starpeeders operatin to the fullest so it really helps to keep the lines moving.
