You will need cash if you plan on tipping service folks like luggage handlers.

    Have a great time.

Also, I don't think the Rain Forrest Cafe at Animal Kingdom takes room charge. And there are places at Downtown Disney that don't but all of those places take credit cards.

Your spending limit will be set based on where you stay at WDW. I think moderates limit you to $500 or something like that while, Premium is around $2000, but all you have to do is stop by the front desk and have them move your balance to the credit card you have on file and then you are once again given the room charge credit that you started with. I have no idea if you can ask to have MORE credit to start with. We never charge to the room anyway. We just use a credit card so that we don't have to deal with a lost room key that has charging ability.

I also remeber that only small stands have no room charge ability, but that was in 2005, so that could have changed.

As far as I know you'd be in trouble any place that only takes cash, as was mentioned above. I also don't know how Downtown Disney would work. I know we paid for our meals w/the DDP on the card, and our entrances to various clubs with the "water parks and more" info imbeded on the card, so I assume that if you didn't have either of those options and instead wanted to pay w/your card you could. I don't know if, say, the lego store would charge stuff to your room.

Yes, we were set at $1,500 during our recent stay at Saratoga Springs. One morning I thought we were probably pretty close to the limit so I called the front desk and asked to have the total run on my charge card and set me up with another $1,500.

They said that I actually hit $1,600 the prior day and that they had already done just what I was requesting. Ain't it wonderful how easy Disney makes it to spend money??

That way they are never exposed, but then they can put the charges through as a batch. So, when you first authorize them, they are only into your account for $1500 at the most. When you make real charges for that amount, they can replenish it up to $1500 over the amount actually charged so it is never needed for you to sign another agreement or to request them to replenish that "guaranteed" amount.
