It was a beautiful day. Still a little hard to believe we were actually there. We got a fast pass to space mountain and headed to New orleans square to ride Pirates. We ate some lunch & rode more rides. The park closed at 8:00 so we headed to downtown Disney and looked in the shops then ate dinner at ESPN. Got checked into our room and it was great, we had a parking lot view but we could also see the Park. Friday we were up early and were some of the first people in line we were first in line for Indy for the day and then did pirates and splash. The park started getting very crowded around 11:00 we had talked to a lot of locals over our time there and they said they had never seen so many people this time of the year. I guess it was ski week for the local kids and they also had a cheerleading tournament. It was very very crowded. We decided to just shop and forget about rides for the rest of the day. We watched fantasmic which was fantastic as usual. We had great seats down front and center. Saturday we were going to do the early morning at DL but just couldn't manage to get up that early so we were first in line to Calif Adventure at the Grand CA entrance. It turned out to be great. My daughter and myself along with about 6 others got invited to be the first guests in the park to ride soaring. Shhh don't tell anyone it's supposed to be a secret. We felt so special. We got a lot of info on new upcomming things to DL and we were first inline to Tower of Terror we were finnished at around noon at Calif adventure. We were going to head back to our room but we were afraid that we would not get into Disney for the fireworks if we left. The crowds and lines were crazy! We made it in and got something to eat then we shopped until around 6:30 and decided to sit for the fireworks for 3 hrs then we heard that the show might be cancelled due to high winds. I was about to be really upset. Around 9:50 the fireworks started and we were thrilled. After the fireworks we rode the rides in fantasyland and called it a day. Sunday we were again the first people in line at the park and were the first to ride Indy again for the day we went on all kinds of rides until around 11:30 when it started getting busy. We decided to take a break. We went back to the hotel around 12:30 and decided we would head back to the park around 6:30 to hit the rides after the parade started at 7:00 this was a very good idea. We got on everything we wanted to ride with only 5min or less waits and we went on a couple of them a few times. It was great! We did this until close at 11:00pm. Sadly Monday it was time to head home. We ate breakfast at rainforest which was good and then did some shopping before we headed to the airport to catch the plane back home. It was a great trip but I sure didn't anticipate the crowds that were there.

So we ended up being first in line at entrance number 2 which is all the way on the left. At about 8:15 or so, this CM named CAP comes up to us on the other side of the gate and askes US if we would like to come in early and stand in the middle area with the characters and announce to everyone on the other side of the gates who were in line ( thousands of people it seemed ) that the " Park is now open! " We said yes! So we get let in the gate where Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Alice and the Mad Hatter are all standing there waiting for us. We then did this countdown and then shouted " Let the fun begin!! " We got some great pictures , plus we were the FIRST people in the park. It was quite a thrill. I will also say that the day before, Thursday, which had early entry was out of control busy and a madhouse by 9 am. The line for Space Mt. was 1 hr during EARLY ENTRY at 8:50AM. This is on a Thursay in Feb. mind you.... insane.

The lines were outrageous for space mountain the entire time we were there. Thank God for fast passes. We actually had space breakdown on one of our fastpass returns but we were able to get passes to go on another ride and we chose the Matterhorn since we had not been on that one yet. I can't imagine having waited an hour in line for space to have it breakdown. Seems like it was breaking down a lot over the time we were there.
