And so ended my love affair with the good doctor.

They're on an emotional high about changing their life, then reality smacks them back down. Then they're back to old habits and old ways of doing things before they know it. But at least Dr. Phil has his money while his books gather dust on the shelves of disappointed Americans.

She once told me that she didn't like Friends because it wasn't intellectual enough! I admit it's not that intellectual, but at least as much as Dr. Phil is, and it's not like she ever watched the news or listened to NPR.
