My kids are now 9 and 6 and they have NEVER like this ride....just like dad I am not suggesting that a few strategically placed "TOONS" will change things either. I am in favor of a complete tear-down and re-do or removing the abomination completely. Create a new ride worthy of the real estate or turn it in to seating for the fireworks...anything but IASW. It is my wife's favorite ride in all of Disney (having visited 8 Disney parks, she is experienced), and my MIL's 2nd fav. It was my grand mother's and great grandmother's fav too. My brothers loved it until their teen years too. I know it's not everyone's fav (personally I cannot be bothered to wait more than 10 mins for Space Mountain - and would not care if they ripped it out of DL). We all have different tastes. And that is my point - why must it be bloody toons everywhere?

And for the love of Pete, if a guy with the screenname Kar2oonMan is saying there are too many cartoons in the park, maybe there really are!!!

Originally Posted By FerretAfros "I am curious, do any of you die-hard IASW fans actually think this ride connects with ANYONE under the age of 30?" I'm under 30, and I've always loved it. I'm pretty sure that my parents didn't like it (I know my dad hates it), but that didn't stop me from connecting with it. Even when I rubbed some sunscreen in my eye while riding, making for a very painful couple of hours, I still managed to enjoy it.

(And Ferret, good luck, by the way. You so deserve one! xoxo)

When past "refurbishments" of iasw have consisted of removing worn out show elements rather than repairing them, why should we expect this time to be any different? In fact, I wonder if the reasoning might be "Why should we go to the trouble to repair African choir singer #2 when for the same money we can turn him into CINDERELLA? Nobody but the Walties will notice the two singers where there used to be three." Guess we'll find out in November when we count the geese. ;-)
