There's no real logical way to add glass to TLS, so I don't think that look will ever continue for that entire side of FW. I like how iconic the pyramids are, since there really isn't anything else in the parks that looks like it. However, there are plenty of other options for what they could replace them with. I would rather they keep the 80's look of the area if they do replace them, rather than something ultra-modern like Mission:Space. I don't like how much M:S stands out against the rest of Future World, but that's not to say that they can't come up with something that works. I do like the simplicity of the spaceframe truss that they have in front of TestTrack, but I don't really like what it does to the simple shape of the building. Instead of seeing the round building, we see the giant awning, which does nothing to imply what's inside like the wheel-look did. I understand why it's needed, but it just seems out of scale with the surroundings and overpowers everything south of M:S.

Also, in regards to Ferret's comments on M:S...The metal actually fits in with the WoM/TT building quite well. It's the sweeping curves that don't. FW East has always been for engineering and linear thinking. It's reflected in the massive scale of the architecture and angular lines as in the UoE and in the various pathways. If anything, the curves of M:S should be in FW West, where everything is much more idyllic, calmer, and thus focused on nature and creativity.

And just because we are on the subject. When you first enter Soarin in the land pavillion on where the left hand wall is just past the turnstiles...the Kitchen Kabaret stage is still there behind those walls. All of the Food Rocks sets are still in place, though the figures have been removed. Also the original costumes from Kitchen Kabaret are stored there. Very cool. I have stood on that stage!
