And there is something else called "preferred seating", which costs $40 per meal? Where do you find those tickets, I cannot find them online with the regular picnics. Does the preferred ticket come with a meal, and is the view that much better than the regular picninc?

There are no seats for the show. The preferred viewing area is the best angle to the show, and purposely un-crowded, which also makes it easier to see. I've heard that the picnics are not much food. An LP couple I talked to today said the fried chicken had almost all bones, no meat. Other meals may be better...

I say get the picnic, pick it up at lunch (not a huge amount of food anyway), then get dinner and take it into the viewing. And bring a poncho. I will be getting the picnic again when I take my 5 year old next month. I would eat the big meal if I had excellent company any wasn't paying for my picky eaters.

That still would have been ok, but two dads put their kids on their shoulders right in front of us. My sister is a vegitarian and enjoyed the wraps. I've had the chicken 3x. It's ok, not wonderful- but in a world where even the coke is $3.00, I think it's a good deal to know you have a spot weeks before you go.
