We only play the front9 as we are doing this after work so we dont t off until about 6 or so. Anyways, last night I shot my best game ever. These are all par 3s and I got a +19. Which is of course a sad score, but the best score I have gotten so far. I even got my first par on the 9th hole.

Needless to say, I need improvement. Lots of it. But I will persist. Oh I will. Next weeks goal? improve my 3 strokes and maybe, just maybe, learn to chip.

golfers have to have short memories...or else very few would ever play more than a few times...one of the toughest games to master by far....and just when you think you have got it figured out -- it blows up on you one day and you can't figure out why

I would love to play more, but it does take some time away from the family. Stick with in Nuuuut, you will find a whole new way to get a headache! But totally worth it - and it's fresh air and exercise!

Play, enjoy the break from cell phones and traffic - and celebrate when things go well....the rest is all gravy

Of course my best shot was that first shot! I think the other male golfers just ignored this giggling lady. I did do my best and I applauded like they do on TV when this other golfing guy hit a high-flying one and it landed right next to the hole.

One time I was teeing off at a course in Northern Wisconsin. There were condos on the course. I hit my shot and it goes way off. I look and see it's heading right towards one of the condos, towards very large glass sliding door for an outside patio. I'm clearly preparing for the worst at this point, when by divine intervention perhaps, the ball moves over and hits the door jam on the side. I breathe a momentary sigh of relief when I realize "Oh crap I have to get my ball. What if somebody is there." So I run quickly to the ball and thankfully nobody was home.

I had been chipping really well before we started our round. Right through the ball, lots of loft and great aim. But during the game I couldn't get it right. I did end up 3rd in our 5-sum.

So Im gonna hit the range once or twice before next wednesday and hopefully remember what it was I was doing when I was practicing and hopefully translate that into the game. We shall see.
