So if you Pirate CMs don't mind me asking: what causes this sort of breakdown, and how easy is it to fix? Do you have to go 101 or can the set be restarted while the attraction is in operation?

    Thanks!

It's a 101 criteria, but there's a scenario where maintenance can go down there and restart the pumps and/or computer controlling the pumps and get the figures moving again before we would have had time to cut the line and cycle out the ride.

Sometimes though the fix takes more than 10 minutes, and we do have to shut down for awhile while they get it fixed.

Is it pretty common or do I simply have bad luck?

Do you guys begin to hold boats or dispatching empties (stop grouping) until the issue is solved or do you continue to operates normally until the 101 call comes?

I'm not an expert on Autopia, but I do hear their 101 calls for "locked bumpers" occasionally. Again, it's not a daily thing, but maybe once a week. A little more often than Pirates closes for animation issues.

We just stop loading boats. Sometimes we send 15 or 20 empty boats just so the maintenance guy can climb around the set for a few minutes and reset the pump or the individual figure. If we know it's going to be a long downtime, we cut the queue and cycle out the ride and then just sit there while they fix it. The same thing holds for Splash Mt., and Mansion.
