The veterinarian believes that he suffered a stroke from which he would not recover. They adopted Nemo when he was very young -- about a year or so old at the time -- back in the early '90s. The day I met jennibarra's parents in September 1993 is the same day I met Nemo -- a gentle giant who we all always said had no idea just how big he actually was. They don't make dogs sweeter than Nemo. I have never considered myself a "dog person," but I have always really enjoyed Nemo's company. He will be missed... A lot.

We lost a furry member of the family not too long ago and everyone here was so caring and supportive that it really touched me. I know you'll let jnemo know how much we all care about what has happened. During our loss, two wonderful LPers (goodgirl and pennyring) gave me some links to read through to try to help me explain things to the kids and just kinda *get through* the pain. The links did help so I thought maybe I'd share them with you and hope it helps you guys too. <a href="http://www.pet-loss.net/" target="_blank">http://www.pet-loss.net/</a> <a href="http://www.griefhealing.com/ar" target="_blank">http://www.griefhealing.com/ar</a> ticle10.htm <a href="http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem" target="_blank">http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem</a> .htm ((((hugs)))))

Creation When God had made the earth and sky, the flowers and the trees, He then made all the animals the fish, the birds and bees And when at last He'd finished not one was quite the same. He said I'll walk this world of mine and give each one a name. And so He traveled far and wide and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him until its strength was spent. When all were named upon the earth and in the Sky and Sea, the little creature said "Dear Lord, there's no name left for me." Kindly the Father said to him "I've left you to the end. I've turned my own name back to front And called you DOG, my friend". Author Unknown
